Meet Attorney Ashley Carlile

Ashley Carlile grew up in Canton, Georgia, graduating from Cherokee High School in 2002. She attended Kennesaw State University where she graduated with a degree in Political Science in 2006. While at Kennesaw, Ashley participated in, and was the captain of the school’s national mock trial team that placed second at the National Mock Trial Competition in 2006.
After graduation, Ashley went on to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. While in law school, Ashley was awarded the Leadership Achievement Award. Ashley also served as the Chair of the Auburn Hills Mock Trial Executive Board, and was a member of the first national mock trial team to compete from Auburn Hills. Ashley went on to win the intra-school individual mock trial competition, which distinguished her as the top litigator at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Ashley was admitted into the State Bar of Colorado in 2010, and the State Bar of Georgia in 2011. In 2010, Ashley joined Thompson, Meier and King, P.C. as a clerk, and she made partner in 2016. Ashley then joined Grisham & Poole, P.C. as a partner in 2017.
Ashley Carlile focuses her practice in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support and legitimation actions. Ashley also has an extensive background in child welfare law having represented the Division of Family and Children Services for many years. Additionally, she serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in child custody cases in various counties across North Georgia. Ashley continues to be a leader in the community as she received the Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals Under 40 award from the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce in 2016. That same year, she was also awarded for being one of Top 40 Under 40 by The National Advocates, as well as one of the Top 10 Best Family Law Attorneys by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. Ashley has served as Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Blue Ridge Bar Association, and she is currently a member of the GAWL Blue Ridge Chapter.
On a personal note, Ashley remains actively involved with the Service League of Cherokee County, and serves as an attorney coach for the Cherokee High School Mock Trial Team. Ashley lives in Hickory Flat with her husband, daughter, and three dogs.
